Oh. My. God.
Nancy, these fleeces are simply exquisite. You should be so PROUD of yourself and your flock! I’ve handled a lot of Icelandic fleeces, well a lot of fleeces of all kinds, and these are extraordinary in all ways. I will now admit to you that I wondered about your shearing method, if I would be able to discern “like” parts of the fleece, if the fleece wasn’t in the traditional format.... It turns out that I don’t have to wonder about putting “like” parts together, because the fleeces are gorgeous in their entirety, or at least the ones I’ve had out are. I’m sure they are all of equal, breath-taking quality.
It was late when I got in last night, so I didn’t take the time to look through all the fleeces carefully, but I looked at each in the bag, and touched them all, and then pulled out Saffron, Samson and Suzette to look at more closely. I found a couple of second cuts on Suzette, and I mean that literally. Either you skirted ruthlessly and painstakingly, or you’re a much better shearer than you THINK you are, or both. The last one seems most likely.
The colors and soft textures are beyond what I even hoped for, Nancy. Saffron is the most strikingly beautiful color I have ever seen on a fleece. Samson is as intricate and rich as a wild animal’s pelt, and that’s something I really cherish in a fleece. I can absolutely feel their wild animal presence in this wool. As a big bonus, I can wear this stuff next to my neck and face, it’s that silky soft. I am floored, I am absolutely floored….
I’m here solo at work today, and I wish I could take more time to tell you how, well, GRATEFUL I am that you made it possible for me to buy all these beautiful fleeces, but I’ll yap your ear off about that later on. But know at least that they arrived, and that I hope you’ll do me the favor of letting me be a customer for life.

Hi Nancy,
This is fanmail! Rhonwen's fleece arrived on Thursday and I washed up a bit of it. I have to tell you, it is absolutely beautiful. Here in Canada we have an Icelandic wool expert, Beth Abbott. I took a course from her and was looking for an Icelandic fleece to try for myself. So I started looking and asking around. Well! your Rhonwen is way nicer than anything I have yet seen --silky beautiful fiber with almost no vm and the colour is very pretty and subtle. I am spinning it with the tog and thel together and I really like the result.
Many thanks to you and to Rhonwen, too, for growing such lovely wool.

The box arrived, and they're gorgeous; and they make the perfect color range together for my next rug in natural colors. Nicholai is more obviously red than I had anticipated, and I love it. I'm also pleased with the obvious tone difference between Regina and Sarah, and Sedona speaks for herself.

Gorgeous wool, and I even get to see the sheep it came from - too cool, thanks!
