Our Pigs
We now have several different boars and sows, so we will be able to offer multiple options for relatively unrelated breeding pairs (or groups) of piglets to buyers who want to start raising their own Guinea hogs.
I’m delighted to have one of Samson’s daughters (Cerridwen), since that is a rare, recovered foundation bloodline.
I was also pleased to learn that our boar Magick (registered name “Carmine”) was one of the very rare Guinea hogs that was born red. I don’t care what color my pigs are, but I do think it’s nice to preserve rare recessive genes like that.
Our pigs are registered with the American Guinea Hog Association. They are raised primarily on pasture, with a small amount of supplemental food. They are all tame, friendly, and easy to work with. |
