Pastured Gourmet Pork

We do have locker pigs available from time to time.  If you’re interested in trying pastured gourmet pork from a heritage breed of pig, contact me, and I’ll be glad to keep you updated when we have some available.

If you’re not familiar with the term “locker pig,” it means that I raise the pig and deliver it to the butcher for you.  All you have to do is pick up the wrapped, frozen meat when it’s ready.  Prices vary somewhat depending on the age and size of the pig.

I’m happy to guide you through the decision-making process if you need me to.  You get to choose what cuts of pork you want and how much you want in each package.   If you like, you can even cure your own bacon, hams, and guanciale, and render your own lard.  These things sound exotic, but they are surprisingly easy to do at home.

Once you taste succulent, flavorful, pasture-raised Guinea hog pork, you’ll never want to go back to the bland, tasteless factory-farmed pork you find in the grocery store.  It’s like a whole different kind of meat!
