Sheep’s Milk Soap

I make this mild, luscious, long-lasting soap by hand in small batches, using the milk from my own flock of Icelandic sheep.

Milk-based soaps are good for the skin because of milk’s naturally moisturizing fats and healthy alpha-hydroxy acids. Sheep’s milk soap is the most luxurious of all because sheep’s milk is higher in butterfat, milk proteins, vitamins, and minerals than either cow or goat milk.

For even more skin-cherishing goodness, I use 100% olive oil to make this a true castile soap. Olive oil has been valued for centuries as producing the highest-quality soap, gentle and non-drying enough for even sensitive skin.

Each big, long-lasting bar weighs about 4 oz. and contains only the most natural ingredients: olive oil, sheep’s milk, water, lye, and pure essential oils.

I also now offer unscented sheep’s milk soap and unscented pure castile soap (without the sheep’s milk) for buyers who prefer fragrance free soaps.

For best results, store your soap on a rack or other dry surface between uses.

Sheep’s Milk Soap (Amber scent)

Ingredients: olive oil, sheep’s milk, water, and lye, and essential oils.

Very gentle to your skin. The Amber-Spice scent is a subtle blend of amber, myrrh, cinnamon leaf, and oak moss. The scent is soft and exotic, but not overly feminine, so both men and women love the smell. No coloring has been added.

Felted Sheep’s Milk Soap

The same soap as listed above, with one awesome addition. It has been hand-felted with wool from our flock. The felted wool forms a wonderful all-natural scrubby, with just the right amount of gentle exfoliation, like a good washcloth.

It also makes the soap easier to grip. As the soap is used, the wool shrinks to fit what is left, so you can use the whole bar, avoiding those slippery little end bits of soap that are hard to hold, slip down the drain, and are wasted.

Available in 5 colors: Brown, Beige, White, Gray, and Black. These are the natural colors of the sheep. No dyes have been used.

Soap Felting Kit

Make your own felted bars of soap, or get together with a few friends and have a soap-felting party! It's easy and fun.

This kit contains everything you need to make the exact same felted soaps as listed above. All you have to provide is a bowl of hot water and a few minutes of your time.
